Our client is a Belgian company that operates internationally and is part of larger group. They are an established market leader in the sale and distribution of products for the construction industry.
To realise their strategic growth ambitions, they are looking from the Antwerp area for a:
Accounting Professional

 

Function

 

  • Daily processing of financial transactions, including invoicing, payments and bank statements.
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet items and general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, including monthly and annual closures.
  • Support the budgeting process and perform financial analysis to identify trends and variances.
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure that all financial processes run efficiently and that all reports are timely and accurate.
  • Provide support for external audits and tax returns.
  • Develop and implement internal control measures to reduce risk and prevent fraud.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of more efficient procedures.
  • Maintain communication with internal stakeholders and external parties, such as suppliers and customers.

 

 

Profile

 

  • At least a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in an accounting function.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, regulations and standards, including BEGAAP.
  • Experience with accounting software, preferably Navision, and advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in merging accounting entities.
  • Communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Ambitious and eager to learn, with a drive to continuously develop oneself within the field.
