Health & Safety Expert

Function

• Support management in the development and implementation of welfare policy.
• Supervise and support local prevention advisers in various locations.
• Strengthen awareness and attention to health and safety in the organisation.
• Promote and support knowledge sharing within the team.
• Collaborate with management on technical safety and safety culture.
• Assess safety risks and prepare safety assessments for investments.
• Perform analyses of incidents and inspire others with your expertise.
• Standardise documents, processes and reports and contribute to the digitalisation of safety topics.
• Act as back-up for prevention advisers at different locations when required.

Profile

• Master's degree in engineering (engineer or equivalent) and prevention consultant level 1 diploma.
• At least 4 years' experience preferably in an industrial and multi-site environment.
• Strong affinity with technical and regulatory aspects of safety.
• Interest in the human side of safety, such as safety culture, behaviour and leadership.
• Capacity to inspire and coach a team in their development.
• Social and pragmatic, with good empathy for workplace realities.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Belgium.
• Familiar with IT solutions and MS environment.
• Bilingual Dutch/French.
