Our client is a leading, internationally active logistics group with 11 offices worldwide. The company aims for a turnover of EUR 400 million and operates in several markets. To strengthen their finance department (Ypres-Roeselare-Bruges area), they are looking for an experienced Finance Director, who will play a key role in financial strategy and reporting.
Function
As a CFO, you are the strategic financial hub within the company and bear ultimate responsibility for the group's financial policy. You work closely with the CEO and Executive Board to support and optimise the long-term vision. You coordinate the financial team, consisting of accountants and controllers in various international branches.
In addition, you are responsible for:
- Preparing and monitoring financial reports, both internal and external.
- Managing the monthly, quarterly and annual closures, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data.
- Developing financial forecasts, including monitoring KPIs.
- Integrate new acquisitions into the existing financial structure.
- Maintain bank relations, manage liquidity and ensure healthy balance sheet.
- Identify cost savings and monitor the implementation of these actions.
- Be responsible for compliance and risk management, including tax and legal obligations.
- Periodic travel to foreign offices (at least once a week).
Profile
The ideal candidate has a strong background in financial management, with strategic and analytical insight. In addition, you have:
- Master's degree in finance, economics, or similar.
- At least 10 years' experience in a C-level finance function, preferably in an international environment.
- In-depth knowledge of consolidation, budgeting, and financial risk management.
- Leadership experience in managing multinational teams.
- Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail, as well as experience with ERP.
- Willingness to travel frequently internationally, as weekly visits to foreign offices are required.
